A Fly's Day

He doesn't know I zig and zag
Over his tattoos as he loses his shoes
And snoozes watching the news

Zooming, I brazenly peruse
The day's prizes--
Pizza, wings, and cheese

Frozen breezes seep from the windows
Pushing me in a dizzying maze
As I graze on the buffets

Hours later, I buzz out
Over nature's bouquets
Over-sized as the sun's rays

I suppose I'll doze on that rose.

This poem is part of my April Poetry Challenge. In honor of National Poetry Month this year, I'm writing lots of poetry and posting a new poem every day in April! Read more of my poetry here.
